Mom's Network Website

After many discussions with the many moms I know, I thought it might be useful to consolidate all our information-sharing online. So I created an MSN group where we can all come together to ask, answer, bitch and moan about the motherhood and our darling babies.  Within a few days a bunch of discussion topics have sprung up on the message board and a few baby pics have even been uploaded.  Definitely a cool solution that our poor mothers never had... though I guess their problems were solved over tea...?

Will discovers the Jumper

We finally found out what it means to have a "bouncing baby boy" when Will tried out cousin Anya's Jolly Jumper one afternoon.  Needless to say it quickly became the must-have item for 2005.  Now Will is going to town wearing out his own rig and it looks like there's no stopping him!  (Careful not to put him in it too fast after eating...)

Check out the grin on his face

Christmas 2004

Well Will’s first Christmas came with lots of fanfare! The grandparents and family where all very generous and made easy work for Mama and Dad. Will had a chance to say hi to lots of people at Mansfield, he’s really wants to get on skis though (at least that’s what Dad thinks). There are a few pics in the Christmas 2004 photo album.

Will Goes Coastal

Will and Mama came with Dad to VMworld 2004 in San Diego. The show was a great success and Will and Mama got a chance to see some sites like the San Diego Zoo. Dad celebrated his birthday with a tour of an US Navy Air Craft Carrier – very cool!

Friend's BC and kick ass searching

The west coast has snatched another resident for our poor GTA area. Our friend’s Kenny and Karen are off to BC to live the life that we all wish we had (jeers to the rain)! Had the whole family over for a nice send off lunch (Will was a gracious host – just trying to keep the Will theme of the blog alive).

Kenny also reminded Dad about the new Google Desktop that is in beta. Can you say “an answer to his prayers”?! Will over heard day saying “this is the best thing to happen since 32 bit sliced bread!" Everyone that has a lot on info on their computer HAS to get Google desktop!

Three's Company?

Mama, dad and Wil are off to San Diego for a week. Dad's got some business to do and Mama and Will are coming along for the ride! Should be interesting having a 12 week old on a plane, more interesting for our fellow passengers then us though. Matthew Baldwin has a funny story on flying with a baby!

All's not so quiet on the western front

Man it's hard to find time to do some blogging. Will is doing well and is now 9 weeks old and 12 lb 2 oz Mama and Dad are still surviving and are enjoying every moment (well almost every moment). Will's smiling now which always puts a big smile on all our faces. Will had a great visit with Kim and Steve from SanFran (he actually slept through most of dinner, but we where not complaining). It was a busy day actually, hanging out with the gang in Niagara Wine country in the day and dinner on Bloor street at night. Sunday found some rest time, but we also got out for Will's first Geo Caching trip. Just a small little walk with Mama, Dad, and Teta Dana on the Lake Ontario waterfront, let's see if Dad can get some pictures together for that.

Famous teacher in the family

There are an oddly large number of teachers in the combined Stelnyk clan. Most of them are retired now or are pursuing international interests but the next generation is up and coming. Cousin Mark was just named winner of the 2004 Governor-General's Award for Excellence in Teaching Canadian History. Nice work Mark! Maybe you can teach Will a thing or two about history. Hey, I had to slip something in there about Will - that's what the audience wants.

Roman and Tammy's Wedding

TMR-14Mama, Will and Dad joined the rest of the family for cousin’s Roman and Tammy's wedding (The second time around for both of them but neither of them have been married to anyone else before - figure that one out). It was a beautiful day with a beautiful bride and a groom with a six-pack, what a great way to end off the summer. There are lots of pictures to check out.

Where have all the flowers gone?

Ah fall is here (well almost) and we have to ask "where have all the flowers gone"? But more importantly... where have all the blog posts gone?!. Daddy's been a little remiss over the last few weeks about keeping things up to date. Hmmm, sure was a lot easier to do when he was not at work. No excuses though, there is a lot to cover. Mama's 30th birthday, Will turns one month even Will’s first wedding. Look for these additions as soon as daddy finds where he stashed the USB cable for the camera :) [editor note - I found the cable]
